What is the estimated life of an Affirm Module?
Each Afirm module is packaged in a smal plastic bag with it’s unique serial number and “born on” date. The Affirm module is expected to live for 2 years from that date. The best way to store an unused Affirm module is in a refrigerator. The life of the device is determined by it’s battery life. It is powered by a lithium ion battery that should live for 2 years under normal conditions. The Affirm module’s life will be shortened by: • Exposure to water • High heat exposure At the end of the Affirm’s life it will no longer respond to requests to “read” it’s data. It will be “dead”. Dispose of the entire Affirm module properly. The Compliance Science software will allow you to “reassign” a new Affirm module to a patient to continue monitoring their progress.
