What is the equation of a degenerate ellipse?

0

The guy ahead of me is wrong. A degenerate ellipse is one with the two foci so far apart that the curve is a straight line. The closer the foci are together, the more nearly circular the ellipse appears; and the further apart they are, the more elongated it appears, till it ‘degenerates’ into a straight line. Sooo, the equation of a degenerate ellipse is the same as for a straight line.
