Some trees will be removed on the top site and will be replaced and increased in number and quality as part of a comprehensive landscape proposal for the new Crystal Palace as the key focus for the whole park. The central feature of that landscape Masterplan would be releasing the maximum green and accessible space for the benefit of the whole community. As an example, car parking for the park being concentrated into one place beneath the Italian Terrace (apart from localized parking specifically for the differently-abled) will remove the present surface parking within the park and release valuable useable green space for the broader community.
