What is the engine specification for the various models??
GTO: 2.5 litre Duratec with twin T25 turbo chargers and managed by a Marelli ECU. Later 2.5 litre cars used an MBE 975 ECU. Standard specification 310bhp package had max boost of 0.75bar set mechanicaly via the wastegate actuators. Factory 340BHP upgrade added electronic boost control with a max boost pressure of 0.9bar. GTO 3/3R 3 litre Duratec with a compression ratio of 8.5:1 and twin T25 turbo chargers, engine managment is MBE 975 but unlike the 2.5 litre cars boost is controlled ‘closed loop’ by the ECU. In order to control boost a special electronic valve called an EBCV (electronic boost control valve) is fitted, this valve can bleed pressure away from the wastegate actuators in order to increase the boost pressure above that which is set mechanicaly via the actuators. Max boost is 0.7bar. Max power output is 352bhp. M400: 3 litre Duratec with a compression ratio of 8:1 and is fitted with forged pistons to increase strength and twin T28 turbo chargers to provide the extra airflow
