What is the Employability Skills general standard?
• Students provide evidence that they can identify the various employability skills, apply these skills in school, workplace, and community environments, and evaluate their use of these skills. What are the aspect standards? • Complete 30 hours of work or volunteer experience. (Core 3.1) • Students provide evidence of participation in 30 hours of work or volunteer experience in the community. • Students provide evidence that they demonstrated employability skills. • Students evaluate the work or volunteer experience and use knowledge gained to plan future education and career options. • Demonstrate fundamental skills. (Choice 3.2) • Students provide evidence that they can both identify and demonstrate fundamental skills. • These skills are effective communication, information management, using numbers, and problem-solving. • Students evaluate the effectiveness of their problem – solving and other fundamental skills. • Demonstrate personal management skills.
