What is the ELPT and can it be waived?
A. Students whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency by taking the UAHuntsville English Language Placement Test (ELPT) and complete any coursework in English as a Second Language (ESL) that the test indicates is required. In order to be exempted from the standardized listening, structure and vocabulary comprehension portion of the ELPT, the student must obtain the following scores on the Internet-based TOEFL.
