What is the effect of the Adobe RGB mode?
Adobe RGB is a color reproduction standard commonly used in the printing industry. Adobe RGB color space has a wide range of color reproduction, compared to sRGB, the standard color space for digital still cameras. Adobe RGB is also added to digital still camera specifications as an optional color space originating from DCF2.0/Exif2.21. The camera provides an Adobe RGB mode (DCF option color space) which allows recording subjects in wider color range, in addition to recording with the conventional, versatile, and more compatible sRGB color space. Note: If you display images that were recorded with Adobe RGB on a TV or monitor that does not support the DCF option color space (DCF2.0/Exif2.21 standard), those images are displayed with low saturation. (Sony BRAVIA supports the standard) If you print these images on printers that do not support the Adobe RGB standard (DCF2.0/Exif2.21 standard), your images are printed with low saturation.
