What is the effect of latitude on acceleration due to gravity?
at the equator the earth has more mass due to the gravity of the sun distroting the sherical shape of the earth. But this mean that the distance between the centre of the earth to the poles (r) is less and because r is squared the effect of distance has more of an impact than the mass so this means that gravity is stronger at the poles and weaker at the equator…..
