Relying on the recommendation of the editors, the publisher decides whether a proposed article would be of interest to our readership and may provide further direction as to the contents. I, then convey those directions plus general info, deadlines, and word count; request that the writer work with our style guide (online); and then edit the final piece, returning it to the writer for revisions/queries as needed.
