What is the easiest way to clean costume jewellery?
I put washing up liquid on an old tooth brush, lay the jewellery across the palm of my left hand, dip the toothbrush in warm water and then gently brush the jewellery. I then rinse off with warm water and keep repeating until I’m happy with it. I also clean my gold jewellery this way. I used to take my stuff to the jewellers for cleaning then the price kept going up and up and I thought it was too much to pay for what it was. I feel as though those gold and silver cleaners that are on the market are too harsh and who needs ’em anyway when washing up liquid does the job just fine.
