Pillbugs or Isopods are detritivores, they are commonly found under moist logs, boards and rocks usually in the shady parts of the yard, where there is a reduced risk of heat dessication. They typically feed on mold, fungus and rotting wood and other organic material. To attract them around the house, you should lay down some wet, water logged wood, or flat boards. Plastic bags sprinkled in water will also get their attention. The best place to lay these bait “homes” is around the edges of the wall outside along the foundation. Most animals as a rule will follow edges, so by placing these makeshift hiding places along the wall you greatly improve the chances of collecting them.
