What is the Early Childhood Program?
The Early Childhood Program is for children ages 3 – 5 with identified special needs. Eligibility for services is determined by the preschool assessment team using a multidisciplinary approach. This team conducts an educational evaluation prior to the child’s placement in the program. Services include but are not limited to: early childhood special education, speech/language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, transportation, vision, hearing and family support activities. Classrooms consist of a teacher, an instructional assistant, eligible students and two times per week with typical peers.
