What is the Dual Rec function?
This function allows to shoot high resolution still images while recording a movie. Previous camcorders could not shoot high resolution still images while recording a movie due to the limitation of read-out speed of the image sensor. However, this camcorder can do it, thanks to the combination of a newly developed ClearVID CMOS Sensor, which can read all pixels even while recording a movie and the fast processing capabilities of the Enhanced Imaging Processor. Still images are only recorded on a Memory Stick Duo. They are not recorded on a disc.
