• Dual Enrollment enables qualified high school students to take college courses at a reduced rate of tuition and earn college and high school credits while still in high school. Students also have the opportunity to earn a $1,000 scholarship for their first year at Penn State York. Dual enrollment is successfully enrolling in and completing a college course and receiving high school AND college credit for that course. The student’s high school must approve the awarding of high school credit for the college course. Penn State York participates in two dual enrollment programs. • Penn State High School Dual Enrollment is for students from school districts that are not participating in Pennsylvania’s Dual Enrollment Program. Students can participate in the Penn State High School Dual Enrollment Program whereby 50 percent of the tuition is paid by the University and the remaining costs are paid by the student.
