What you wear to a wedding is a complicated matter, but it’s unlikely you’re going to bother anybody too much even if you get it a little bit wrong. There’s only one rule that’s really important to know, and that is that the woman should absolutely and under no circumstances wear a white dress. White is reserved strictly for the bride. She also shouldn’t dress in a way that might upstage the bridge. Nothing extremely revealing, and a strapless, backless, glittery, black thing is probably out, too. Don’t wear jeans unless you’re specifically told to wear jeans, and don’t wear sneakers and/or shorts. A suit is always okay. You can never go wrong with a suit.
