What is the dress code policy on shoes?
A. The Willett handbook states, “Students should dress in comfortable clothes that allow active participation and do not distract from learning. Wear sturdy shoes that protect feet.” Sandals and open-toed shoes are discouraged because they often result in students tripping while running or having toes mashed when things are dropped or feet are stepped upon. For these reasons, individual classroom teachers, at their discretion, may ask that students in their class not wear sandals.
