The 2004 annual general shareholders` meeting approved the “Proposal on cash Dividends Policy of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd ” that yearly distribution of cash dividends shall be no less than 40% of the net profit of the year. On 30th July 2005, the Board of Directors has agreed to submit to the 2005, 2006 and 2007 annual general shareholders` meetings the proposal on annual appropriation of profit that the yearly cash dividend shall be no less than RMB 0.32 per share.
