What is the Diversity Best Practices CEO Initiative?
The Diversity Best Practices Initiative began in 2001with our Leadership Award. In 2002, Roundtable was added. To build upon foundation, in 2004 we will integrate the role of the Chief Diversity Officer with the CEO and focus on the role Board of Directors. Diversity Best Practices will host with Linkage a Roundtable at Linkages annual conference in April. And, our partnership with Profiles in Diversity Journal continues with a series of articles that will showcase the CEOs Leadership around Diversity and Inclusion. The CEO Leadership Award The Diversity Best Practices CEO Selection Committee nominates and selects those CEOs who are leading corporations that they believe are best in class diversity leaders. Steve Miller, retired Chairman of Shell Oil, chairs the DBP CEO Leadership effort on behalf of Diversity Best Practices and its members and has helped create the criteria for selection and the nomination/selection process for award winners.
