What is the disadvantages of reality tv show?
Well, there are indeed several disadvantages when you talk about reality shows. First, the winner in a reality show is often not solely determined by the judges. A big percent of a contestant’s chance of staying in the show comes from the audience. Now, I’m not saying that letting the viewers decide on who’s going to stay or not is bad but you see, not all viewers vote that wise. Other viewers vote a contestant merely because of his/her charisma and not for the actual talent or skill. This is where a reality show becomes a mere popularity show. Whereas, in a traditional show, professional, experienced, and unbiased judges get to determine on who’s going to stay or not – so, you get great winners. This is the down side of it. Because the winner is determined by the judges and not the viewers, the chances of the winner in getting popular is a little unstable since it’s the judges’ preference and not the majority viewers’.
