What is the disabled student’s allowance?
Disabled Students’ Allowance is designed to meet any additional study-related costs that may arise for disabled students. Students from the United Kingdom studying on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course are usually eligible to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance. Some part-time students can also apply. Similar schemes are available for students from certain EU countries. If you are not eligible for the allowance, your Disability Adviser will conduct an Assessment of Needs, which will make recommendations for your support at University.
