What is the digital originals disc?
The digital originals disc contains your unprocessed wedding originals, or digital ‘negatives’… as they came, straight out of the camera. They are not watermarked with a logo or ‘proof’ stamp. And, just like film negatives, they are not retouched or enhanced. The images ordered as prints and in the album will be retouched. The digital originals disc comes with a ‘limited use image reproduction release’ that allows you to copy, share, enhance, change, and print the originals at photo labs. ‘Limited use image reproduction release’ is a standard legal term that means that while Jeff Schaefer Photography retains the copyright, you are free to do pretty much anything you want with the photographs for personal use. The only things you can’t do are sell them for profit, and use them commercially, like in an advertisement. You are free to use a photograph in a news paper wedding announcement.
