What is the diffrerent between American Football , Rugby and Touch Ball ?
Touch and American football are played on the same fields. Rugby is played on a slightly bigger field, 110 meters touch line (goal line) to touch line. American football is 110 meter but that’s end of the end zone to end of the end zone. Figure Rugby field end zone starts where the goal post are placed for American football. American football has the normal gear you would see, helmet, shoulder pads, rib protector, pants with pads and football cleats. Touch has no pads and played in whatever apparel. Rugby players can wear padded shoulder pads and padded helmets. They are nothing more than a soft cushion rather than a hard plastic or whatever they use in American Football. Rugby is played 40 minute for to half’s where at touch and American are 4 quarters 15 minutes each (at the professional level).
