What is the different between a temporary hire and a regular hire?
Temporary and on-call positions are short term appointments that generally do not exceed a 6 month period or 900 hours in a rolling year. Temporary and on-call positions may be selected from our available applicant pool. Regular full time employees are those who are approved for a regular and continuous schedule for periods of time that exceed 6 months or 900 hours in a rolling year. Regular positions are primarily selected by ad hoc search committees.
