What is the difference with Vocaloid and HumBox?
They look a bit similar, but they are different tools. Vocaloid can produce syllables and words in full pitch range, HumBox – just a limited set of syllables strictly linked to appropriate notes. Vocaloid uses spectrum frames to synthesize sound, and HumBox is working with audio samples. HumBox uses “Context-Dependent Expressive Synthesis” approach and has a very powerful system of sound manipulating, which makes it really expressive. It seems that Vocaloid is sufficiently less powerful in this regard.
