What is the difference of a flooded engine and backfired.?

Ok a flooded engine means that too much gas got pumped into the engine for one reason or another, and now there is so much gas that the engine cannot start. A backfire happens when the spark plugs fire when the engine is supposed to be sucking in gas causing fire to shoot back out of the engine the wrong direction. The brain box is a computer that controlls your cars engine it uses sensors to tell the spark plugs when to fire, how much gas to pump into the engine and lots of other things. And lastly the negative cable and the ground cable are the same thing. If you look at your battery there will be a plus sign and a negative sign on it. The cable next to the negative sign is the one your asking about it usually goes down and just bolts to the side of the engine somewhere it is neccecary to complete the electrical circuits in your car. Hope this helps John.
