What is the difference in Waxes and Polishes?
Wax has been a long standing favorite in the automotive, boating, and aircraft industries for surface protection – carnauba wax being a traditional favorite. However, recently the chemical industry has developed newer technology in polymers. Polymers can be thought of as little microscopic beads. Polymers can be synthetic, plastic, or vegetative. The polymer “beads” are tiny enough to actually work their way into the naturally found pores of paint and gel coats. These “beads” fill up the pore, thus blocking it from dirt and other elemental particulates which would enter if the pore was untreated.
