What is the difference in the course work for Computer Science majors and Computer Information Systems majors?
• Computer Science (CS) majors take more math and engineering courses. They focus on the technical aspects of computing equipment and software. CS focuses more on programming than does CIS. Computer Information Systems (CIS) majors take general business classes to give them an overall picture of the whole business process (business savvy) such as accounting, marketing, management, economics, and finance.
