What is the difference in the apple head and the deer head chi?
An apple head chi is what is described in the AKC and CKC standard. It means that the head is rounded from all sides, and therefore looks like an apple, and that the nose is short with a very prounced stop(the indentation that is at the base of the skull where the nose joins it). A deer head chi has a sloped head and a slightly longer nose, making the head appear more like that of a deer, or Taco Bell’s claim to fame, Gidget.
