What is the difference in Speed Sleep® and other audio meditation techniques?
From a methodology standpoint, there is no difference in general between the terms: Meditation, Hypnosis, Self-Hypnosis, Visualization, Guided-Visualization or Trance. They are all words which describe a time when either ourselves or an external voice relaxes the focus of our conscious mind and we begin thinking at a subconscious level. What makes Speed Sleep® different from meditation techniques on others is that Speed Sleep® is a guided visualization using both voice and background music specifically designed to create patterns and skills to enhance deep sleep – not just relaxation. Speed Sleep® is built on the principle of conditioning and contains certain language patterns or triggers called “anchors” that with repeated listenings can be used at any time to trigger a state of deep sleep. Additionally, the first track (The Daily Speed Sleep® Nap) has been perfectly timed for the ideal nap length based on recent NASA research among pilots (25 minutes).
