The measurement is the same. A dry measuring cup has a flat top so that the ingredients can be leveled off. A liquid measuring cup has a spout and gradations that do not reach the top so you can see the liquid amount at eye level. Always fill the liquid measuring cup on a flat surface and look at the quantity at eye level for an exact measurement. A dry measuring cup will allow yogurt to be leveled off for an exact measurement.
