What is the difference between zyrtec, claritin, and benadryl?

Zyrtec and Claritin are better for seasonal and pet allergies. Benadryl is good for allergic reactions, does less for a runny nose or eyes than the other two do, and more for topical reactions (fixes rashes and skin redness). I’ve been given Benadryl in the hospital ER for a reaction to a fish toxin that also gave me heart palpitations. I generally take Claritin for seasonal allergies, it seems to work well. Another relative who found Claritin was not strong enough for her allergies is taking Allegra. You have to try these to find out what works for you, everyone is different, your mileage may vary.
