Yard waste is grass clippings, leaves, weeds, and other garden debris. Brush is tree and shrub trimmings. Some items do not qualify as either yard waste or material for the city’s chipping program. Fencing, pallets, and decking materials should be disposed of in your normal garbage pickup. Dirt, rocks, mulch, hay, straw, lumber, and landscape timbers are not considered yard waste and should also be included in your regular garbage pickup.
