What is the difference between working a 1099 with Strategic Staffing Solutions and being a W2 employee?
We give our therapists the choice of being paid as an employee of Strategic Staffing Solutions (W2) or as a 1099 contractor. Therapists who will be with Strategic Staffing Solutions for an extended period of time may want to consider being a W2 employee, which means that we will take out taxes for you. Also, a W2 employee is qualified to receive retirement benefits if they are working at least 30 hours a week. For a short term assignment, such as a maternity leave, a therapist will be best served as a 1099 contractor. We also give this option to therapists who work with Strategic Staffing Solutions who already have their own practice.
