The basic differences are • Strength. Wire cords are much stronger than ball chain • Kinking. Ball chain cords are kink less whereas wires can kink and get bends in the cord. • Life: Wire cords will outlast ball chain as there is less moving parts. • Swivel. Wire cords do not swivel as well as ball chain. • Adjusting length. Wire cords are permanently crimped together and as such can not be adjusted.
