Windows hosting: Windows hosting runs in windows platform based system. Windows software is expensive. It is not open source like Linux. If you are going to make website with HTML, ASP, .NET, VB and going to use MS SQL database windows hosting will be suitable for that. Windows won’t support perl, postgre etc.

Linux Hosting: Linux hosting runs on Linux OS platform. Linux is an open source. If you are going to create a website with Perl, PHP, postgre languages with MY SQL, Postgre SQL databases Linux Hosting would be the best for it. Linux hosting is more secure and flexible. It is handy than windows hosting.
