What is the difference between wifi, EDGE, 3g and HSCSD?
Wi-Fi is basicaly wireless internet, commonly let out through a wireless enabled router. 3G stands for Third Generation (mobile communication).3G, or third generation, is the generic term used for the next generation of mobile communications systems. EDGE (Enhanced Data GSM Environment), a faster version of the Global System for Mobile (GSM) wireless service, is designed to deliver data at rates up to 384 Kbps and enable the delivery of multimedia and other broadband applications to mobile phone and computer users. High Speed circuit Switched Data; a special mode in GSM networks that provides higher data throughput by cocatenating a number of timeslots, each delivering 14.4bit/s, much higher data speeds can be achieved. Hope I helped.
