What is the difference between wiccanism and druidism?

0

Well, Wicca is a religion created in the 1950’s by a retired British servant named Gerald Gardner. While Gardner *claims* that the tenants of his religion stretch back into antiquity, perhaps even to the time of the ancient Britons, this theory is rather laughable. I assume that “druidism”, on the other hand, refers to the rites practices by the ancient Celtic druids. There’s a tremendous difference between druidism and Wicca– the two actually have no relation. Wiccans don’t worship Celtic gods, they don’t participate in human sacrifice and they don’t observe many of the ancient Celtic festivals even though they *claim* that their traditions are handed down from the druids.
