What is the difference between whole or ground flax?

0

Both hold nutritional value but to gain the most nutritional benefits the flax should be ground. Whole seeds are often not broken down completely during chewing, causing them to be digested whole and missing out on nutrition. Grinding the flax seed allows them to be easier digested. Dakota Golden Flax is sold whole for easy storage but can be easily ground.
