What is the difference between what Chips n Scratches does and what panel shops do?
Good question. Panel shops will completely respray a damaged panel if there is a deep scratch, dent or blemish on that panel. This is where a lot of the cost comes in as the have to sand the panel, undercoat it and the repaint that panel. It is a lengthy process and with some panels no matter how hard they try a difference in colour is noticeable. Chips n Scratches only repair the damaged area. This way we are able to reduce costs and become more cost efficient. Our paint renewal is designed ‘to take the eye away from the imperfection’, it is in no way a respray yet in some cases it’s pretty close.
