What is the difference between web resolution and print resolution?

0

Web resolution has less pixels than print resolution. The web resolution images that I provide are 600 pixels on the long side. These are reasonably sized images for emailing or uploading to websites. In fact all of the images in my portfolio galleries are 399×600 (600×399) pixels in size. These are not suitable for printing. You could probably get a 4×6 inch print form these images, but it might be a little choppy. For prints of a reasonable size like 8×10 or 8×12 inches you need my print resolution images. These are 4288 pixels on the long side at 300 dpi. You can get reasonable quality prints up to 20×30 inches with these images.
