What is the difference between web design and graphic design?

0

In college I was a graphic design major and now I am a freelance web designer. After I got my degree, I went back to get a certificate in web design and authoring. It’s great you are interested in web design, because that field is really growing, and many businesses always need upgraded, professional sites. Graphic design courses are great to take, because you learn about typography, page layout, and creative presentation, and this spurs your creativity. Some of the basic web courses are included in the graphic design degree. Most colleges do also offer a web design certificate, which enables you to learn the web tools and programs, such as dreamweaver, photoshop, and flash. Make sure you take a course on css, which is a must for web designers. Hope I helped, and good luck!
