What is the difference between warehouse storage and self storage?
Warehouse storage is more like inventory storage on a bulk scale more suitable for medium to larger businesses who have a high inflow and outflow of product. I think it really depends on the size of the warehouse to be honest. Self storage caters more to the regular consumer or private storage. It’s more personal and smaller to accommodate the items that one moves out from their home. The levels of security and features and options would be different too.
In warehouse storage, the moving and storage company retains complete control over your room. If you wish to view or access your goods, you must make an appointment to do so, while a warehouse representative is present. Hours are restrictive. In self storage, basically, it is your room and your key! You can visit your goods unsupervised; and the liability for your goods is yours.
