What is the difference between VTIs Small Animal Technician program and an A.A. degree in a related field?
Our Small Animal Technician program is offered in either a 20-week or 40-week format, each delivering the same material but at different paces, awarding a diploma to recognize the graduate’s career training at the technician level. VTI uses the small animal portion of the Veterinary Technician curriculum to train students in the specific area of Small Animal Technology (omitting large animals, exotics, etc., as well as general studies) to allow students a more immediate entry in the veterinary career field as a technician.
