What is the difference between viewing a persons availability and viewing their calendar?
In Outlook, you do not need to look up a person’s calendar in order to see their availability. The Scheduling Assistant in the Appointment window will help you see whether or not a person is available. If you need to know more than a person’s availability such as what meeting they are at or what location they are in, then that person will need to adjust their Share Permissions so that you are able to view their calendar. If someone has “shared” full details of his or her calendar specifically with you or with “Default,” you can view the entire calendar. In your Calendar Navigation Pane, click the link to “Open a shared calendar.” Search for the person whose calendar you wish to view. See also: How do I share my calendar with other users? Last rev.
