What is the difference between video streaming and video teleconferencing?
Video teleconferencing sends the video and audio over telephone lines, and requires specialized equipment on BOTH ends in order to send and receive the video – a process that can be expensive and difficult for both parties. Video streaming is live video broadcasting over the internet. At a streaming deposition the videographers plug into the internet and log on to view the deposition at a remote location. Video streaming depositions are ideal for corporate counsel or co-counsel who want to monitor the deposition but cannot actually be there.
