Vancouver Public Library is a public library system, consisting of a Central library and 21 branches throughout the city that provide library services, programs and resources to Vancouver residents. The Library is an essential part of the cultural, educational and creative life of the city. The Vancouver Public Library Foundation is a non-profit volunteer organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds to help the Library provide the highest level of services and programs possible. The Foundation helps to provide financial security to the Library, above and beyond government core funding, through the support of individuals and the private sector.
