What is the difference between UVA and UVB protection?
UVA = Ultra Violet Aging UVB = Ultra Violet Burning SPF = Sun Protection Factor. There are a lot of questions about UVA and UVB protection and Europe has recently put new guidelines in place where UVA protection needs to be 4 times the UVB protection in any sun care product. This is broad-spectrum protection. As a result Orlane’s sun products went through a recent packaging change to reflect these new guidelines. We met the requirements for our SPF 30 Face and Body sun care so that remains the same but our SPF 15 for Face and our SPF12 for Body did not meet the requirements so rather than reformulate what we feel is a great product, we met the guidelines by changing the SPF rating to 10 on both.
