What is the difference between Uefa Champions League, Uefa Club Cup Championship and Uefa Cup Winners Cup?
The winner of the cup in their respective championship go to the “winners Cup” the national champs go to the “club cup” however the elite clubs from the elite championship in Europe go to the “Champion League” living the club cup with runners up and some salvaged clubs from the champion league qualifying ex: Benfica was in the champion league and didn’t make it but had enough point to join in the club cup. I hope this makes sense. I know it is confusing. Lets put it this way … The champion league was created to have ONLY the elite teams of Europe competing against each other and also to generate more money for those rich clubs.
