What is the difference between true match grade uppers and the run of the mill upper?

First, most uppers use production grade barrels, they may be labled “bull”, “target”, or “Varmint” or “match” to try to fool people into thinking there are getting something special but really they are just heavier production barrels. If the company will not tell you who makes the blanks you can bet it’s not a lapped match barrel. We true and bed all of the receivers and finally we spec certain reamers to achieve the proper bullet to land distance while working within the limitation that the magazines impose.
