What is the difference between transactions fees and a surcharge?

0

Chase Bank charges transactions fees for using the Direct Payment Card at ATMs outside the network. You are allowed two free (no transaction fee) withdrawals per month at non-Chase and Allpoint ATMs. There will be a fee of $1.50 for each additional withdrawal at ATMs outside this network. A surcharge is a fee imposed by the owner of the ATM if it is not a Chase or Allpoint ATM. Most ATM owners outside the Chase network will charge a fee for the use of their machine. These fees may vary, so check your balance statement and plan ahead.
